This starts with Abhyangam and follows with a special type of ayurvedic marma massage using relaxing herbal oils which helps to stimulate the marma points of the body along with a kizhi treatment (medicinal boluses) for the stress points of the body to relieve stiffness and pain. Very effective in combating stress and relaxing the body.

According to ayurvedic science, the kizhi pounding (presumably from a combination of the rhythmic pressure/sensation/stimulation, the heat, the topically-applied medicated oils, and the properties of the natural herbal infusions in the bundles) would, over time, strengthen my joints and reduce joint and muscle pain.
